Rebecca Lorna: Folk, Singer-Songwriter
Rebecca Lorna emerges as a captivating folk singer-songwriter, embodying the essence of the 60s-70s country-inspired sound. With a voice that carries the weight of generations past and a songwriting style that echoes the heartfelt storytelling of iconic troubadours, she transports audiences to a time when music spoke directly to the soul. Through her evocative melodies and introspective lyrics, Rebecca revives the spirit of a bygone era, infusing it with a contemporary relevance that resonates deeply with listeners.
Raised on a steady diet of vinyl records spinning tales of love, loss, and redemption, she found solace and inspiration in the timeless sounds of artists like Joan Baez, Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, Blaze Foley, Emmylou Harris and Lucinda Williams. Drawn to the raw honesty and emotional depth of their music, Rebecca began honing her own craft as a storyteller, channeling her experiences into poignant lyrics and soul-stirring melodies.

After spending time in Montreal and Vancouver, Rebecca can be found these days playing around the Sunshine Coast with her longtime collaborator and guitar player, Jeremy Forester. She is currently in the studio working on music to be released in 2024.
